
Since 1996 Sandra has published twenty-eight books that
have sold more than 500,000 copies to date. Her titles Story of the Heart and When There Are No
Words were #1 art category sellers for national book
retailers Barnes & Noble and Borders. Sandra’s
signature lifestyle book, Living Artfully, was
published by Simon & Schuster’s Free Press in
October 2006, and the paperback version will be published
in Spring of 2008. Her cloth book series from LB Kids,
an imprint of Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, has
won High Honor Awards from The Oppenheim Toy Portfolio
and NAPPA.

These include gift items, home décor, jewelry, seasonal, furniture, stationery, kitchen, baby apparel and gifts, plush, bedding, accessories, scrapbooking and greeting cards. Sandra Magsamen’s Messages from the Heart™ plaque sales have topped tens of millions. In January 2008 Sandra will debut the launch of Messages from the Heart, a new infant lifestyle brand, at JCPenney. The line includes playful, imaginative infant clothing and accessories that celebrate the blessing of a new baby with messages such as “made with love” and “with tiny little hands babies touch our hearts forever.”
Sandra has been seen on television on The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch, The Today Show, and Bravo! and featured in O, The Oprah Magazine, Woman’s Day, Latina Style, Parenting and Pulse magazines. She is the Living Artfully contributor on Oprah.com. Sandra created the 2007 Shero Award, which honors women for their contributions and talents with honorees this year that included Queen Latifah.
Her work has appeared in the holiday season windows of the Saks Fifth Avenue flagship store, in the 20th Century Fox hit comedy Cheaper by the Dozen, and most recently was donated for Mom-To-Be kits at Nicole Richie’s baby shower.
Sandra is the President of the board for the American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore and works with many non-profit and charitable organizations.
She is living artfully with her family in the Maryland town in which she grew up.
