The Hooray for the Underdog! card line was created by HealeyGrisham commercial photography studio to support animal rescue efforts. The cards feature portraits of shelter animals in uplifting, surprising and heartwarming situations. On the back of each card is a detailed profile of the animal stating its name, rescue details and special power, which can be anything from “Rottweiler wannabe and part-time desperado” to “the ability to will food off your plate.”
Husband and wife Joe Grisham and Janet Healey are the creative team behind Hooray for the Underdog!. For the past thirteen years, the couple has used their resources and talents to promote animal welfare. Their photos of shelter animals, which ultimately evolved into cards in the Hooray for the Underdog! line, capture the lovable spirit of these animals and encourage consumers to explore ways to support animal rescue efforts.
Each card back features the dog’s name,
rescue details and “special power.”
Hooray for the Underdog!® has been featured in several national magazines such as Redbook, Modern Dog, and Fancy Dog. It was also mentioned as one of Oprah’s Best of 2008 and 2009 Gifts that Give Back.
